Note : Due to the unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, NBSE has made certain modifications into its existing syllabus of Class 9 for academic session 2020. Some of the chapters/topics will not be included in the Final External Examination. However, the excluded chapters/topics has to be compulsorily assessed internally by the institution as per the concept followed by the NBSE & submit the marks along with the final result.

Real Numbers In this Chapter, students will get to know about real numbers and irrational numbers. The chapter starts with the Euclid’s Division Lemma which states that “Given positive integers a and b, there exist unique integers q and r satisfying a = bq + r, 0≤r<b”. The Euclid’s Division algorithm is based on this lemma and is used to calculate the HCF of two positive integers.
